The Lady Owls Basketball Team won their first game of the Owl Invitational Tournament on Saturday with a hard fought 66-60 victory over Lenoir Community College. Center, JoJoe Briscoe (Friendly) led the way for Prince George's with a season high 19pts and 12 rebounds followed by Danielle Durant (Crossland) and Marissa Akins (Buena Vista) who added 14pts each toward the winning effort.   

The second game of the invitational did not have as good an outcome as the first for the Lady Owls.  The Titans of Guilford Tech Community College defeated Prince George's 51-45 ending the Lady Owl's five -game winning streak. The Lady Owls got as close as three points late in the game, but could not overtake the Titans. Marissa Akins recorded her sixth double-double of the season (13pts, 10rebounds). Coneisha Smith and Dominique Person had 14 and 11 points respectively.  

The Lady Owls look to get back to their winning ways on Tuesday, December 20 when they travel to Northern Virginia Community College for their final game before the holiday break.
