The Owls Women's Team finished 6th overall with all of them placing in the top four in their events.

He was formally the Head Men's and Women's Track and Cross Country Coach at Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, MD and the Sprint Coach at Trinity College in Washington DC. During Johnson's high school coaching career, he was named Coach of The Year 4 times, winning four 3A County Championships, two 3A Regional Championships and one State Title.
